27 (ageless), Angel, bartender, Nina Dobrev
You want to know more about me then? Alright, but first sit down and let me get you a drink, because you are defiantly going to need it. So yeah, I’m not your average bartender. Just how many of those died, got resurrected, and became a vessel for an angel? Not many, I assure you. So you want me to start from the beginning? No problem. Let me get you the bottle.
I was born 27 years ago, my mom and dad said I was a happy baby. And even said I was smart for my age as well. I had a normal childhood, well as normal as a girl whose father was a hunter of the supernatural, had a few friends that would come over. They would hang out, we talked about boys and fashion, did makeovers, and even had slumber parties. I however didn’t dare tell them what my father did when he left for his trips. I didn’t want to scare my friends away with stories of vengeful spirits, vampires, werewolves, and the like. My mom would tell me stories of those things that Dad would hunt, and I just thought that they were bedtime stories designed to keep me in my bed at night. I would find out many years later that I was indeed wrong. My grades were of course straight A’s, and schoolwork didn’t seem to be so hard for me. I breezed by all my tests and assignments, and had plenty of time to spare for others. It was like that all through school, and most of my free time outside of my parents were spent with my friends.
However that changed in high school when I met the most charming, handsome guy, Ryan Goodnite. I made it a point to get to know him, and we soon became the best of friends. Our relationship took on the protective big brother slash best friend dynamic, and of course I didn’t mind it one bit. When Ryan had met my father, I was scared that Dad would tell him what it was that he did and my best friend would run away and never talk to me again. However to my pleasant surprise, Dad behaved himself and just used general terms when describing his trips. It seemed that this intrigued my friend, and he would ask me, repeatedly it seems, what my dad hunted. I did not want to test our friendship like that, so I avoided answering his questions by either dismissing them or quickly changing the subject.
Our relationship went to the next level during our senior year in high school. We started dating, and surprisingly our families had gotten along quite well. Ryan and his grandfather were always welcomed at our house for dinner, and we always did find time to spend with our families. Even though it seemed that we were inseparable. I always knew that the other kids at school as well as our families had expected us to start dating, and I of course couldn’t be happier.
The two of us took the SAT test later that year, and we both scored really well. Ryan did better than me, and we both applied and got accepted into Harvard. I wanted to become a lawyer, and got a full ride on a law scholarship, Ryan was going to major in History and got a football scholarship as well. When I told my dad, he refused to let me leave. When I demanded to know why, he only told me that it was dangerous for me to do so. He told me it was too far away, and he couldn’t protect me if something ever did happen. I stormed out with my things packed and tryied to make my way to Ryan, with every intent on going to Harvard with him.
I didn’t make it. On the way, I was attacked by the very thing that Dad hunted. It was one lone vampire, but it was enough for me to die. The last thing I heard was that my father had to pay for what he had done to the vampire’s nest.

So my vessel told you about herself right? Good, now I can tell you my part of her story. See, my name is Asael and I am an angel of God. I have watched humanity since their creation, but never had the need to interact with them until now. Sure, I have interacted with other angels and that was it. So when I was told to go to Earth and monitor Azrael, I knew that it wouldn’t be an easy assignment. And when I saw who he took as a vessel, I knew that I had to choose mine carefully. I knew that it had to be someone his vessel could trust, and when I could not find someone alive that would work I had to find someone who wasn’t. After some research, I found that he loved Samantha Tate. I knew that this would be the perfect vessel for me. Drawback was that she had died from a vampire attack, so I did what I needed to do. I resurrected her, soul and all, as a sign of good faith, and hoped she would consent to being my vessel.

So you met Asael, did you? Well, I assumed she told you her part. Need another drink? Here you go. Well, she told me that she resurrected me. Then asked me if I would consent to her possessing me, and my only thought was to find Ryan. Even if it meant that I allow an angel to possess me. I didn’t realize it when I died, but I knew I loved him. And I wouldn’t let the chance pass me up to tell him that. Asael said she can help me find him, and that was the major deciding factor in me agreeing to let the angel possess me. We do have an agreement when it comes to my body, she’ll let me have control most of the time. The only time she will take control of me is when she has to do her job, or if my body is in moral danger. So unless those two situations present themselves, I am me. So I took up a bartending job, hoping to run into Ryan…[/center]
