WHAT IF I WANTED TO BREAK? LAUGH IT ALL OFF IN YOUR FACE WHAT WOULD YOU DO? The crossroads weren't an area Yin visited often anymore, if at all. It was coincidence that she now stood on the road, empty, and stared ahead at the fields of wheat. It was beautiful this time of year. Yin sighed gently and closed her dark eyes to enjoy the breeze. She was alone today, and off work. Just because she now had a significant other didn't mean she couldn't have time to herself. Yin completely trusted him, though Ramiel didn't. She felt she...well, no...she didn't know Gabriel better. In fact, he still remained a mystery to her. The only reassurance she needed, though, was the fact she knew he cared. It was a strange feeling...this warmth bubbling in her stomach and rising to her heart. Yin hadn't felt it in a long time.
The peace and quiet was inspiring. Yin felt she could sit and pull out an old sketchbook and get to work on a sketch. She thought about sketching the wheat field. The crossroads could be added into the photo for nostalgia. Though, Yin didn't miss those days of making deals and taking souls. She was happier with her current choices, and safer. The last thing she wanted was death or being sent back to Hell. A shudder ran through her body at the very thought of it. Lucifer was not kind. He was a child throwing a temper tantrum. Why would an angel, though Fallen, enjoy the presence of demons? He walked this Earth, and now demons were cheering. Yin figured later they'd see him for what he really was...if he won.
Destiny was a questionable thing for Yin. She felt there could be destiny for some, and freedom for others. The unlucky bastards with destiny could fight it. They could maybe even change it. Chuck had said something similar once...that the plans were gone, and maybe there was nothing but freedom now. It was all very philosophical, which Yin had been as a human and still remained so now. She loved the idea of philosophy.
Yin walked further into the crossroads toward the middle. She remembered the night she’d sold her soul for that one girl she’d adored so much. It had been worth it, but poor souls did not know what awaited them when their 10 years were up. Hell was not a pleasant place. A lot of individuals could not handle Hell. Yin, though, feared she might say she embraced the torture. It was punishment for not seeing Amanda’s death ahead of time, though she’d only been human. She should’ve known the man was bad, but she hadn’t. She’d been too stupid. The punishment was well-deserved.
Was she a bit crazy? Yin figured maybe so, but she never thought about it. Sold her soul for a girl she could never gain love from? Laughed when Lucifer tormented her after she spoke out against him? Slept and still sleeping with an Archangel who possibly is head-over-heels for her? Yeah...Yin was a little crazy. Wasn't everyone?

He had heard the whispers on the wind of it, a demon in love with his brother. He at first did not want to believe it, dismissing it as another one of millions of lies about the angelic hosts that would be told from time to time, something to try to turn his father’s faithful away from the path of righteousness and truth, but then the truth became relieved to him in revelation. How Gabriel could be doing such a thing was beyond him, he knew his brother had been falling from grace, slipping from the true path for a time now, but had it really have gotten this bad?
Removing Adam’s consciousness, taking control of the vessel was easy, he needed to look into this situation further. Feeling out across the Earth he did feel his brother’s signature and appeared at the crossroads but it was not Gabriel who he found there. Dark eyes staring down at the demon in front of him, seeing beyond the human she wore, he knew that in an instant he could summon forth heaven’s cleansing power and push this twisted thing from this world if he so choose to. He only needed to know why it was that his brother choose to do such a thing.
“Demon.”
The hatred for this vial creature was evident in his tone, his voice booming with the power and strength of being heaven’s commander, its protector, its first son.
“Vial consort, unclean soul, explain to me why I should not banish you back to hell for the abomination that you are.”

WHAT IF I WANTED TO BREAK? LAUGH IT ALL OFF IN YOUR FACE WHAT WOULD YOU DO? If only peace was something that lasted longer than a few minutes. Yin tensed at the booming voice and made a slow turn to face its owner. The vessel didn't look so tough. He wasn't some scary guy you'd not like to meet in an alley. It was who was inside that made Yin's blood run cold with terror. Her dark eyes grew wide and she stopped breathing. It was as if her body figured if she stood very, very still he'd not see her and go away. That was not the case. He was angry with her; Yin could sense it. She should've known this would happen eventually. It had been a lingering concern in the back of her mind ever since she'd found out the one she adored was, in fact, an Archangel.
"Gabriel..." She whispered, as if pleading him to come to her rescue. Her heart pounded against her ribcage and she took a hesitant step away from the powerful Archangel. This could very well be the end.
Yin didn't know what to say. What could she say? It didn't matter. He was going to smite her anyways. She was going back to Hell. "No...no...no..." Yin whimpered and took another step back. "No...go away...please go away..."
'Run...'
Her body went on automatic. Yin turned and began to flee as fast as she could down the road. It was hopeless, she knew this, but what else was there? Stand there and die? Her eyes closed tightly and she bit her bottom lip, hard.
'I don't want to die.'

How dare she even try to call his brother here to protect her? Michael’s rage filled the air, you could feel it vibrate off of him, as if in moments he would simply sweep a hand and wipe away everything for miles if he wished it. No, the vessel did nothing to portray the powerful being inside of it but those who felt his presence still trembled before him. He was God’s right hand and the righteous fury of his vengeance. Shrines were built to him to further his father’s glory in him and now this pitiful little demon dared try to call his brother down to stand in between him and her?
He stood there watching her run, a futile attempt really, crossing his arms he simply appeared in front of where she was dashing to, his vessel’s blue eyes filled with fury as she pleaded with him, telling him she didn’t want to die. Perhaps this should have been something she had thought of before she decided to raise his hackles by feeling of his little brother?
“I did not tell you to beg you pathetic thing, all you are doing is making sure that your death will not be a swift one but one filled with torment and pain. I again will ask, tell me why it is I should not banish you to hell for daring to even think of my brother?”
If she would not answer he would pull the answers from her before sending her where all her kind belonged, back to the pit.

Suddenly my eyes are open (EVERYTHING COMES INTO FOCUS, OH) " Because I love him." The words slid out easily for Yin Izumi. It was so surprising that she looked quite taken aback by her own statement. The way it so easily slid off her tongue made her almost think she was lying, yet the strange, warm feeling she got from stating it said otherwise. Blinking a few times, she repeated the phrase, " I love him." It was around this time Ramiel had caught up to her. It was hard to protect her when it wasn't exactly an "official" sort of thing, yet it was still an order from Heaven. Heaven was becoming confusing with its termonology. If it was an order, then why wasn't it official? It was like an excuse so they could deny ever watching over a demon. Ramiel could understand that--it was a demon. Ramiel quickly shook off the bias. He couldn't be having that when it was his duty to ensure her safety, especially when said safety was endangered. He spotted his charge in the sights of Michael. Of all the Archangels she had to get herself in trouble with did it have to be Michael? His oldest and most powerful brother? Yin was going to be a handful if this was going to be the normal endangerment she was going to throw herself into. Though, he figured as such...She was sleeping with an Archangel. It was another reason the two shouldn't be together. Gabriel put her in danger. " Michael! No!" Ramiel called as he ran over to Yin and curled his arms around her while effectively tugging her away from him. He was sure if he'd been any later that Michael would've incinerated her for what she said. Yes, Ramiel had heard it, and he hated it. He hated that she loved him, and that he most likely loved her. It was going to cause all sorts of trouble. " Michael, you can't hurt this one. She's under my protection by the order of Heaven!" (WE ARE ALL ILLUMINATED ) Lights are shining on our faces, blinding

At the first confession of love Michael’s fury brewed over, his hand had begun to rise up as she dared utter the confession again. He had almost placed his hand to the demon’s forehead, his vessel’s body literally shaking from the righteous fury that this thing dare say it had feelings, human emotion, for his brother.
When Ramiel put himself between Michael and Yin Michael’s response was automatic, his ArchAngel’s blade slipped into his hand, so natural a gesture to him it was as breathing was to a human. His own brother, one of his beloved younger brothers, was daring to tell him what orders heaven were or were not giving? Orders were his job and he would never offer the protection of the heavenly hosts to a filthy creation such as a demon. It broke his heart how deceived Ramiel seemed to have been.
“Ramiel, brother, I have given no such order. Step away, I do not wish any harm to come to you.”
His voice was stern, as a father to a child, but tinged with hurt as a betrayal like this would naturally carry.

Suddenly my eyes are open (EVERYTHING COMES INTO FOCUS, OH) " Michael, I am not stupid." Ramiel gave him an even look as the demon trembled in his arms. His violet eyes slightly narrowed at the idea of Michael turning on him. " I am loyal to Heaven, and you know it. I have never turned against my brothers or our Father. I was given this job by Heaven, and by Father." Of course, he hadn't seen Father. He had been given a vision instead. Ramiel figured it made sense with him being an angel of divine vision. He had only ever seen his Father once before along with the other Archangels. He couldn't truly say how he felt about the meeting. " No harm is going to come to this demon. Do you understand? She is required." Yin shifted in his arms. She was realizing something. Ramiel had never said to her before that she was required for something that had to do with Heaven. He expected she was going to try and have a long talk with him about it later. Ramiel made note to avoid it as much as possible. He wasn't sure how to answer her questions when he didn't know the full deal himself. Ramiel just knew that this was no lie. Yin was under his unofficial protection by the word of God. He only hoped that his brother would appeal to reason less he wanted to upset their Heavenly Father. Ramiel pulled Yin behind him and took a daring step toward his older brother. He was, quite frankly, terrified of Michael as much as he was of Lucifer. Raphael wasn't the worst of his older siblings and was slightly more tolerable. Sometimes it was a pain being the second youngest brother. " Put that thing away. You don't want to hurt me, and I have no intentions of fighting you. The only thing this would do is mess with Dad's plans, and you know how he gets when his plans are messed with. Don't you remember what happened to the Watchers?" (WE ARE ALL ILLUMINATED ) Lights are shining on our faces, blinding
